Here's the pre and post painted shots of the kids' knight helmets for Halloween. As you can imagine I have spent a lot of time threatening them that if they wreck them before the big day they don't get to go trick or treating.
I am so amazingly thrilled with how these turned out.

Those are amazing. I'm going to watch the tutorial because they look like metal and I want to know how you did that!
I didn't use spray paint like the tutorial because I had some regular glossy black house paint at home. On the second coat, while wet, I sprinkled gold and white glitter. Then when it was dry I lightly brushed some silver metallic paint on the parts where the glitter didn't stick. Pretty random but makes them look battle worn, or so I thought!
My fav part of the tutorial is how to do the rivets!
