"New" Toys!

This was a fun, all morning, activity... TOY STORE! The boys helped me price everything. Then I gave them each a shopping bag and a container with 25 pennies. They took turns making a purchase until they ran out of funds. Then they had to go play for a bit while I replenished the stock at my "store." When I was ready I let them have another 25 cents. I think we did this four times. And then they took it all into the living room and made their own toy store and sold to each other! The best part was when Jacob ran out of money and Daniel offered to buy him "one more car." So cute.

Teddy Bear Beach Party

So this is what happens when I let Jacob and Daniel pick a cake for me to make for my mom's birthday...

It was actually lots of fun and they did help bake and decorate the cake. 

Baby Likes Cookies

I made my favourite mint chocolate cookies again... And Samuel loves them. I can't eat one without him trying to steal a taste. Good thing he doesn't have teeth yet!

Constellations

We have been learning all about SPACE so the boys made their very own constellations with glow in the dark stars. Aren't these fun? We got an AWESOME book from the library called "Constellations:A Glow in the Dark Guide to the Night Sky" ... I love this book but you can't buy it anymore... We read it in the dark with a flashlight because first we'd see the lovely picture of the constellation with the flashlight on (like the tough looking bear called Ursa Major) and read the history of the image in the stars, then we'd turn off the flashlight and all he stars would glow! It was so much fun. So then we did this.... 

I hung them above their beds. Now I kind of wish I had made myself one!
